THANK YOU FOR HARVEST DONATIONS
Enfield Foodbank would like to say a heartfelt thank you to the schools, churches, businesses and individuals who have supported this year’s Harvest collections.
Every tin, packet and financial donation helps us provide emergency food to individuals and families across Enfield who are struggling to afford the essentials.
Harvest is a busy time for our volunteers, who sort donations and prepare food parcels. It is also a reminder of the kindness within our community, with people of all ages coming together to help their neighbours.
To everyone who organised a collection, donated, delivered food or volunteered: thank you. Your generosity helps us offer food, a warm welcome and support when people need it most.
Together, we can support local people like Tim
Tim came into foodbank after losing his job and facing challenges with his mental health. Alongside practical food support a volunteer took time to listen and encourage him.
Over the following weeks, they kept in touch, and eventually he arrived with wonderful news: he has found a job and no longer needed to use the Foodbank.
He was incredibly grateful for the support he had received and said once they were financially secure, he hoped to donate to the foodbank himself so he could help others facing crisis.
Your support can help turn a difficult season into a new beginning.
TIM : Enfield Foodbank was a lifeline when I needed it most. They gave me more than food – they gave me hope, dignity and support. I’m now back in work and looking forward to the future.
It’s not too late to give this Harvest, if you’d like to help local people like Emily too. You could:
-
Donate a tin or packet at one of our supermarket collection points in Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Waitrose stores across Enfield
-
Make a single money donation or set up a regular monthly donation online
Thank you so much.
